CBD and Skincare
What Is Skincare?
Skincare is the set of daily habits that help skin stay comfortable, elastic, and even in texture. It can also support common concerns such as dryness, acne, or eczema. A solid routine feeds the skin, limits excess sun and irritation, and uses emollients—the moisturizing ingredients that protect, soften, and help lock in hydration.
CBD and Skincare: What Are the Different Kinds of Skin Types?
Normal Skin Type
Normal skin is neither too oily nor too dry. Oil production is balanced, and the skin usually feels even. It does not need a complicated routine.
- Balanced oil: Water and oil stay in a comfortable range, so the skin feels even. A lightweight, water-based lotion (often 70% water or more) is usually enough.
- Smooth texture: The surface is not tight or greasy, which often means hydration is already in a good place.
- Barely visible pores: Pores stay small unless makeup is left on, sunscreen is skipped, or hormones shift.
- Low sensitivity: Little redness, oiliness, or flaking, and the skin is not reactive to light rubbing.

Hands take the most wear. Daily moisturizer keeps them soft.
Dry Skin Type
Dry skin often feels tight and looks flaky or rough. It can crack, peel, itch, or look inflamed. The backs of the hands, arms, and legs are common dry spots.
- Hard-to-see pores: Flakes and red patches can hide pores and make the surface look uneven.
- Dull, rough complexion: Some people also have a mix of dry cheeks with a shinier forehead and nose. That combination still needs moisture, not more stripping.
- Red patches: Very dry skin can itch and flare, and in some cases look like eczema.
- Less bounce: Dry skin does not snap back as easily. Fine lines around the mouth and eyes can look more obvious.
- What to try: Watch how face wash, sunscreen, and makeup feel. Fragrance-free, simpler formulas with fewer harsh additives are often easier on dry or combination skin.

Facial skin is thinner than the rest of the body, so face products should stay gentle.
Oily Skin Type
Oily skin looks shiny and is more likely to break out because the glands make extra sebum.
- Extra oil: Genetics, weather, puberty, hormones, and stress can all push sebum production up.
- Shiny, thicker-feeling surface: Sebum is a mix of triglycerides, wax esters, squalene, and cholesterol. Too much of it leaves a film on the skin.
- Breakouts: Oil mixed with sweat and dead skin can clog pores and lead to blackheads and acne.
- What to try: Exfoliate about twice a week with a gentle, non-comedogenic cleanser. Keep using a light moisturizer—stripping oil can make skin drier underneath. Skip heavy butter-based creams on the face if they clog your pores.

The right products for your skin type matter more than a long routine.
Sensitive Skin Type
Sensitive skin reacts easily. Strong chemicals, dyes, and fragrance are common triggers.
- Reactive: Soaps, detergents, and scented products can cause redness, stinging, burning, or itch.
- Dryness: Peeling or flaking can turn raw if it is picked or rubbed hard, which raises the risk of irritation.
- What to try: Patch test new products on a small area. If it burns or itches within a few minutes, rinse it off and skip that formula.

Daily moisture helps skin stay soft and resilient.
CBD and Skincare: What Are the Differences Between Body Butters, Creams, and Lotions?
Lotions are mostly water (often 70–80%) with a little oil. They feel light and work well on arms, legs, and the stomach. They are easy to spread, but they may not be enough for very dry or thick skin.
Creams sit between lotion and butter. Water and oil are more balanced. Many include aloe or similar water-based ingredients and are whipped so they spread smoothly. Some contain butter; some do not.
Body butters are the thickest. They last longer on the skin and often have a stronger scent, but they can leave an oily film on skin and clothes. Because they are low in water, they are better as an occasional overnight treatment than as an everyday all-over lotion.
Leanna Organics CBD face cream and CBD eye serum are plant-based formulas with hemp-derived CBD.
CBD and Skincare: What Makes Leanna Organics Body Cream Different?
Leanna Organics body cream is about 50% water, 15% butters, and 35% organic oils. That mix is meant to hydrate without feeling as heavy as a pure butter. CBD is added for skin that feels itchy, dry, or uncomfortable. Skin has CB2 receptors as part of the endocannabinoid system, and topical CBD is used to support that local balance.
Current CBD body cream scents include Mango, Red Rose, Pineapple Deluxe, Chocolate Coffee, and unscented Natural, plus a non-CBD body cream option.
CBD is non-intoxicating and not habit-forming. Used on the skin, it is a simple add-on for softness and comfort as part of a regular routine.
