Third Party Tested CBD

At Leanna Organics, we have always prided ourselves in offering affordable prices for high-quality products made with third-party tested CBD. We purchase our CBD in bulk from only local Colorado growers and labs.

Every batch of raw CBD is sent to independent labs that provide a certificate of analysis (COA). We mix the new CBD into our fresh products only after the third-party testing comes back in order, ensuring you are getting the purest CBD extracts free from hazardous elements such as pesticides, solvents, and heavy metals.

Why You Should Only Buy Third-Party Tested CBD

Third-party testing means that an independent laboratory has analyzed the CBD extracts to ensure that it is below the legal limit of 0.3% THC and is free from contaminants.

These tests can identify things like the presence of pesticides, heavy metals, or harmful residual solvents that could be dangerous to your health. They can also verify the potency of the CBD in the product, which can help you determine how much to take for your desired effects.

Knowing what you're getting in a CBD product is difficult without third-party testing. Some unscrupulous companies may make false claims about their product's contents or quality, or even sell products with little to no CBD.

When you choose third-party tested CBD, you can have greater confidence in the safety and effectiveness of your product. It's a simple but important step that can help you maximize CBD's potential benefits.

Why Leanna Organics Third-Party Tested CBD?

At Leanna Organics, your beauty and wellness is our number one priority. Therefore, we ensure each batch of our quality CBD extracts is free from THC and non-intoxicating. Additionally, we go the extra mile by testing our CBD for pesticides, heavy metals, and solvents.

This is above and beyond what we are required to do by the state of Colorado to sell hemp. But we do it because hemp is known for its fantastic ability to pull toxins from the ground through its roots. In fact, hemp has been used to clean up environmental disasters like Chernobyl.

Hemp is an amazing plant that is an ally to the planet and helps remediate the soil. However, those same qualities could harm unsuspecting users of untested CBD.

Because of this, before mixing CBD into any of our self-care goods, we send it to independent labs that test for hazardous materials and ensure our CBD won't cause harm to our customers. Additionally, we offer free samples of our tested CBD goods that you can pick up at our store, or ship for only $3.99.

What Is Cannabidiol CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a non-intoxicating compound in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, another compound found in cannabis, CBD does not produce the "high" typically associated with marijuana use.

CBD has been the subject of significant research in recent years due to its potential skincare and wellness benefits. CBD works by interacting with the body's endocannabinoid system, which regulates functions of the various body systems, helping it find and maintain balance.

CBD is available in various forms, including CBD oil, gummies, bath bombs, and topical salves. It's important to note that the regulatory landscape for CBD is still evolving, and not all CBD products are created equal. To ensure that you're getting a high-quality product, it's essential to choose CBD that has been third-party tested and comes from a reputable source like Leanna Organics.

What Is Delta-9-THC?

Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the compound that elicits the "high" that marijuana is known for. Third-party tested CBD is about assuring the potency of THC does not exceed 0.3%. THC is a cannabinoid, just like CBD. They are compounds very similar molecularly to the compounds our bodies make naturally. But unlike THC, CBD is not intoxicating. Our testing shows "ND" for D9-THC, which means non-detectable. But trace amounts still may be present — so we urge caution for those who are drug tested. Currently, there is no way to remove THC from CBD altogether.

All of Leanna Organics's CBD products are below the legal limit of THC. Our isolate-based CBD products are 99.99% CBD, and our full-spectrum CBD products are 0.3% THC or less. So you can be assured when using our self-care goods, such as our CBD oil and salve, that you will not experience a "high" but rather be calmed and soothed.

What Is Cannabigerol CBG?

Cannabigerol, or CBG, is a compound found in the cannabis plant. Like CBD and THC, CBG is a cannabinoid, but it is present at much lower levels than either of these more well-known compounds.

CBG interests researchers due to its potential wellness benefits, although much more research is needed to understand its effects fully.

CBG is sometimes called the "mother cannabinoid" because it is a precursor to other cannabinoids such as CBD and THC. As the cannabis plant matures, CBG is converted into other cannabinoids, which means that plants high in CBG may contain lower levels of additional cannabinoids.

CBG is available in various forms, including oils, capsules, and edibles. As with any cannabis-derived product, it's essential to do your research and choose a reputable source to ensure that you're getting a high-quality product that is third-party tested.

What Is Cannabinol CBN?

Cannabinol, or CBN, is a compound found in the cannabis plant. It is a cannabinoid that interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system.

CBN is believed to be a non-psychoactive compound, meaning that it does not produce the "high" typically associated with marijuana use. It is created when THC is exposed to oxygen and is found in higher concentrations in aged cannabis products.

CBN has been the subject of some research, with early studies suggesting it may have significant wellness effects. It is believed to have potential sedative properties, which may make it helpful in promoting relaxation and rest. CBN may also have antibacterial properties, making it useful in fighting certain types of bacteria.

What About Other Cannabinoids Like CBC, CBDV, and Others?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is not the only compound called a cannabinoid from the cannabis plant. By definition, cannabinoids are similar in molecular shape to endocannabinoids, cannabinoids produced internally in all mammals. The fully mature cannabis plant has more than 100 distinct types of cannabinoids.

These compounds interact with the body's endocannabinoid system and may have potential skincare and wellness effects, although much more research is needed to understand their effects fully.

One such cannabinoid is cannabichromene (CBC), which is found in lower concentrations in the cannabis plant than some of the other cannabinoids. Another cannabinoid is tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV), found in smaller amounts in the cannabis plant than THC.

Other cannabinoids include cannabidivarin (CBDV), cannabigerivarin (CBGV), and many others. Each cannabinoid may have unique properties and potential wellness effects, but more research is needed to understand these compounds' effects fully.

What Is Solvent Testing?

Solvents are substances that are used to extract cannabinoids from the cannabis plant during the process of making CBD oil. These solvents dissolve the desired compounds, such as CBD, from the plant material.

Several solvents are commonly used in CBD extraction, including ethanol, butane, propane, and supercritical CO2. Each of these solvents has its advantages and disadvantages.

Ethanol is a popular solvent for CBD extraction because it is safe, effective, and relatively inexpensive. However, it can also extract undesirable compounds, such as chlorophyll, which can affect the taste and quality of the final product.

Butane and propane are highly effective solvents but flammable and dangerous if not handled properly. Supercritical CO2 is another popular solvent; it is safe and produces a high-quality product. However, it is also relatively expensive and requires specialized equipment.

Leanna Organics's third-party tested CBD is extracted using supercritical CO2. We do this because CO2 extraction is the safest and most organic way to extract CBD from the plant.

It is also essential to understand that CBD isolate requires post-extraction to remove impurities and isolate the CBD molecules. For this, Leanna Organics uses a natural solvent called pentane. Our independent testing ensures that there are no residual solvents.

What Is Pesticide Testing?

Pesticide testing is an essential aspect of ensuring the safety and quality of CBD products. Pesticides are chemicals commonly used in agriculture to protect crops from insects, fungi, and other pests. However, some pesticides can be harmful to human health, and they may contaminate CBD products if not used correctly or if they are used in excessive amounts.

Pesticide testing for CBD products typically involves analyzing product samples to determine the presence and concentration of various pesticides. Testing methods may include gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, or other techniques. Pesticide testing laboratories must be accredited and follow strict protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results.

Leanna Organics's third-party tested CBD COA ensures that you get a product with little to no pesticides.

What Is Heavy Metal Testing?

Heavy metal testing is another crucial aspect of ensuring the safety and quality of CBD products. Heavy metals, such as lead, cadmium, arsenic, and mercury, can harm human health. They may contaminate CBD products if the plants are grown in contaminated soil or if contaminated equipment is used during processing.

Heavy metal testing for CBD products typically involves analyzing product samples to determine the presence and concentration of various heavy metals. Testing methods may include atomic absorption spectroscopy, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, or other techniques. Heavy metal testing laboratories must be accredited and follow strict protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results.

Leanna Organics's third-party tested CBD COA ensures your CBD products are free from hazardous metals that can jeopardize your health!

Do You Test Your Hemp Seed Oil?

No. Hemp seed oil does not contain any cannabinoids, including CBD. It is not regulated like products with cannabinoids and is widely available in almost every country in the world. Many of our products, such as bath bombs, hemp scrub, and soap, contain hemp oil. Our hemp seed oil is organic, and we procure it from reputable companies that provide a COA to us. However, we do not independently test our hemp seed oil, because there is no chance of intoxication and hemp seed oil is not regulated like CBD is.
