Thinnest to thickest. Serum first on clean skin, then eye serum around the orbital bone, then face cream or tallow balm to seal everything in. Lip balm or gloss goes on last. The face mask is a weekly step, used before the serum rather than alongside it. You don't need all seven. Most people use a serum, a moisturizer, and a lip product daily, and add the mask when their skin needs it.
It matters less than it does in a tincture, and differently. What counts topically is concentration relative to the size of the jar and how much surface area you're covering — 500 mg in a 1.7 oz face cream is a meaningfully different concentration than 500 mg in a 4 oz body cream. Our face products run 70-500 mg. We list the exact amount and container size on every product page so you can compare directly rather than guess.
No on both counts. CBD isn't intoxicating in any form, and our face care uses CBD isolate — purified CBD with no detectable THC. Topical products also stay largely in the layers of the skin rather than entering the bloodstream the way an ingested product does. If you're subject to workplace or athletic testing and want the detail, our CBD vs. THC guide covers what does and doesn't show on a screen.
Grass-fed tallow has a fatty acid profile close to the lipids your own skin produces, which is why it absorbs readily and sits well under makeup despite being rich. It's a traditional skincare ingredient that predates petroleum-based moisturizers by a few thousand years. It suits dry, mature, and winter-stressed skin best. If your skin is oily or breakout-prone, start with the face cream or serum instead. Note that the tallow balm is an animal-derived product, and if you need fully plant-based options, our face serum and face cream are excellent choices.
We formulate without synthetic preservatives, our shelf-life for creams is roughly 12 months once opened - longer for oils. Store jars away from direct sun and out of a steamy bathroom; heat and light degrade botanical oils faster than time does. Use clean, dry fingers or a small spatula with the balm and mask. Introducing water into an anhydrous formula is the main thing that shortens its life.
