BOOSTING PRODUCTIVITY WITH CBD: HOW CANNABIDIOL CAN IMPROVE FOCUS AND CONCENTRATION

There’s always been much interest in finding natural ways to improve focus and concentration. People have tried everything from meditation to caffeine, but those aren’t for everybody. So it’s no surprise that people were excited to learn about the potential benefits of cannabidiol (CBD) for focus and concentration.

WHAT IS CBD?

CBD is a non-intoxicating compound found in the cannabis plant that has been shown to have various wellness benefits. CBD is one of many compounds, called cannabinoids, found in cannabis. Unlike the main psychoactive cannabinoid in cannabis, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD does not produce a high or euphoria, so it’s not really a “recreational” consumable.

It important to understand that CBD does not cure, treat, and prevent any disease. CBD is a natural alternative that has many benefits for the body and mind, but it is not a “miracle” compound.

HOW DOES CBD WORK?

The way CBD works to improve focus and concentration is not fully understood, but it is thought to be related to its ability to interact with the endocannabinoid system. This system is responsible for regulating a variety of physiological processes, including mood, appetite, and cognitive function. Addiitonally, because the skin is covered in CBD receptors, topicals like CBD salve is benefiting millions of people daily.

As the above studies suggest, CBD may help improve focus and concentration by promoting a sense of calm, allowing for better focus and concentration. However, more research is needed to understand the full mechanisms by which CBD may affect focus and concentration. As soothing as a massage CBD may be, and as relaxing as a hot bath with CBD is, it’s still a relatively new innovation.

WHY THE LACK OF EUPHORIA?

Unlike other types of cannabinoids, CBD does not produce a "high" or a state of euphoric bliss because it does not interact with the same receptors in the brain as THC. THC is the primary psychoactive compound found in cannabis, and it binds to CB1 receptors in the brain, which are primarily responsible for the intoxicating effects of cannabis. CBD, on the other hand, doesn’t bind to those receptors that induce a “high.”

Instead, it works to modulate the effects of THC and other cannabinoids, which reduces or eliminates the psychoactive effects. It’s basically like a caffeine patch. Additionally, CBD oil has been shown to have a low binding affinity for CB1 receptors, which further reduces its potential to produce a "high." Basically, while it has the benefits present in cannabis, it does not have the intoxicating effect.

The reason why the euphoric effects of CBD are “removed”, so to speak, is to ensure it doesn’t interfere with its intended purpose, which is productivity. Typically, cannabis has been used as a relaxation tool, and this often induces intoxication in the user. Obviously, relaxation and productivity are fine balancing acts, and being intoxicated while working isn’t likely to improve one’s focus.

TYPES OF CBD PRODUCTS

There are several types of CBD products available on the market. From bath bombs to help you relax after a long day, to gummies and oils to help with calmness and restfulness, to topical oinments like CBD salve for when you hurt.

OILS AND TINCTURES

CBD oil extracts are swallowed, or taken under the tongue. They are usually made by extracting CBD from the hemp plant and mixing it with a carrier oil, such as coconut or palm oil.

TOPICALS

CBD topicals include slave, CBD massage oil, foot cream and roll on. The advantage with topicals is that they work right away and are targeted.

FACE CARE AND SKIN CARE

CBD is gentle and Leanna Oraganics uses organic CBD extracts. Why not bathe your skin biome in nature-based beauty products that won't cause irritation? Our CBD face cream is a 100% natural combination or botanticals and butters that will leave your facial skin soft and replenished. Our CBD body cream is the ulimate luxury, it smells devine and feels good going on!

BATH BOMBS

CBD bath bombs are a great way to relax and unwind after a challenging day. Just drop one of our organic bombs in your tub and recline into peace!

CAPSULES AND PILLS

These are convenient and easy to take, and they come in various doses. They are usually made by encasing CBD oil in an easily swallowable soft gel capsule.

EDIBLES

These are food products, such as gummies and chocolates, containing CBD. They are a popular choice for people who want to take CBD in a more exciting and tasty way than usual, though the effects are the same in the end. Leanna Organics offer CBD samples of our gummy! Stop by our store in Westminster to pick them up, or cover the shipping charge.

DRIED FLOWERS

These are the dried flowers of the hemp plant that can be smoked or vaporized. They contain a variety of cannabinoids and terpenes that may provide additional benefits when used together. For people who are used to the “classic” method of consuming cannabis, dried flowers are likely the best way to experience that. They are pretty much prepared and smoked in the same vein as normal cannabis.

PURE ISOLATE

These are pure CBD crystals or powders that are 99% pure CBD that can be added to any food, drink, or vaporizer. This is a potentially good way for people who prefer to integrate CBD into their diet without being too invasive.

CONCLUSION

It's important to note that the quality and legality of CBD products can vary depending on where you live and where the product is sourced from. Leanna Organics sources their hemp from local Colorado farms and labs and independently third-party tests our CBD to ensure its potency.

In addition, CBD should never be used as an alternative to any medical condition. Always consult a doctor if you intend to use CBD in any medical capacity.
